Herndon, Virginia Jack Truman Wallace Sr, 81, of Herndon, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 12th after succumbing to complications caused by Alzheimer's disease. Jack was born on May 19th, 1942 to Cyrus and Alberta Wallace in Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating from Little Rock High School in 1960, he majored in Mathematics at Little Rock University. After graduation, his first job was as a cartographer for the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center (ACIC) in St Louis MO. As the agency changed from the Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) to National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Jack advanced to Physical Scientist and supervisor. He took an early retirement offer after 30 years. He met his wife Linda, at their work in St Louis, Missouri. They had many adventures during their relationship that included snow skiing, water skiing, and most of all family activities. Jack treasured his time on family vacations, sporting events and holidays. After retiring in 1994, Jack spent his time fishing, line dancing, and cruising. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Cyrus and Alberta Wallace. He is survived by his wife, Linda, children, Charles, Jack and Lara, his two granddaughters, Eleanor and Evelyn, and his sister, Carol. A celebration of life will be hosted by the family on March 23rd, 11am - 1pm, at Frying Pan Farm Park Visitor Center. Please let the family know if you plan on attending.
