Edward Whitbeck, 1939-1965

Edward Lynn Whitbeck, aged 25, a partner in the Valley Insurance Agency, died Wednesday, March 17, 1965.

He was a senior at Little Rock University and would have graduated in May.

He was born November 3, 1939, in Oklahoma, and moved to Little Rock when he was 2 years old. He attended Little Rock public schools and graduated from Hall High in 1960. Mr Whitbeck was a business administration major and was historian of the Epsilon Phi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional fraternity for business administration students.

He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Whitbeck of Little Rock. Other survivors include a brother, Frank Whitbeck III of Little Rock, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Butterfield of Oklahoma City.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Reubel Funeral Home.


NOTE: Edward was awarded his degree posthumously by Little Rock University.
NOTE: Edward is buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
